Terrace, BC – The Terrace Community Forest, in collaboration with the City of Terrace, is excited to announce the unveiling of a stunning three-dimensional Sockeye Salmon sculpture along the Ferry Island Trail Network. Created by local sculptor Great Bear Ironworks, this new public art piece honors the critical role that salmon play in the Skeena River ecosystem, a region famous for its extraordinary salmon runs.

Kitimat, BC – A new public art installation is bringing creativity, culture, and community spirit to downtown Kitimat. In collaboration with the District of Kitimat and the Kitimat Public Art Alliance, a striking series of eight Raven sculptures has been installed in the courtyard behind the mall entrance, transforming the space into a vibrant gathering area for residents and visitors alike.
The installation, designed to complement newly constructed planter boxes, brings a sense of life and connection to the downtown core. The Ravens, meticulously crafted by local artists, reflect the natural beauty and cultural heritage of the region. These iconic birds are a powerful symbol in many Indigenous cultures, representing transformation, intelligence, and community.

This scenic 1-kilometer path weaves together art and nature, featuring a striking installation of three deer sculptures created by Great Bear Ironworks, including a tribute to the island’s beloved Hammy the Deer.

In partnership with the Kaien Island Trail Enhancement and Recreation Society, Great Bear Ironworks is proud to be producing a series of captivating sculptures to be installed along the Cloudberry Trail. Spanning approximately 1 KMfrom the Prince Rupert Recreational Complex to the junction near the Kal Tire area, this scenic trail will feature a sculpture installation at the turnaround point, enhancing the visitor experience and creating a beautiful destination along the path.
